THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING | Who They Are Celebrates the Official Launch in New York City

Last Wednesday, April 24, we officially celebrated the launch of Who They Are, our 501(c)3 status and the unique opportunity and partnership with the Nomi Network Fashion Incubator program in Cambodia this June. Over 60 guests toasted with us on a beautiful Spring night to a buzzing New York City backdrop. Your support, near or far, helped us raise $3,533.25 to support our partnership in South East Asia to aid in the uplifting of at-risk women and survivors of human trafficking be lifted out of poverty to create a sustainable future! And while April has been an incredible month for Who They Are, we know there are more exciting days to unfold. As one guest put it, “This is just the beginning!”. Check out some of the photos from the night!

Rory Carnegie

Thank you to UK based Fine Art photographer, Rory Carnegie for allowing us to showcase the very powerful series, Invisible People. Invisible People toured throughout the U.K. to raise awareness of modern slavery. Carnegie wanted to demonstrate that modern slavery is an everyday fact of life, and that we may all have walked past slaves in the street or benefited from their labor.

“The victims of modern slavery are living and working in abject conditions but will, if they can, hold on to some degree of dignity,” says Rory Carnegie, of an issue he was commissioned to highlight by the National Crime Agency. Learn more about this incredible series in the British Journal of Photography.
